Why is my trades website getting visitors but no enquiries?

If people are reaching the website but not getting in touch, the problem is usually not traffic. It is what happens after they arrive.

The visitor may not know whether you do their job

Your main services should be obvious within seconds. If people have to search through vague wording to work out whether you can help, some will leave.

They may not know whether you cover their area

A customer should not have to guess whether you work in their town. Clear service-area information helps people qualify themselves before they call.

The website may not earn enough trust

Real project photographs, genuine reviews, clear business details and useful explanations reduce uncertainty. If the site feels generic or unfinished, the customer may choose somebody who looks more established.

The next step may be too difficult

If the phone number is buried or the form asks for too much, people drop out. Good trades websites make calling or asking for a quote obvious, especially on mobile.

The wrong traffic may be arriving

Not every visitor is a useful prospect. If your marketing attracts people outside your area, looking for services you do not offer or expecting a different price point, the website cannot turn them into suitable enquiries.

Look at the whole route

Traffic gets the customer to the site. The website has to explain the business and earn the enquiry. Your response time and sales process then decide what happens next. All of those parts matter.
